Potala Palace:it has become the seat of Dalai Lamas and also the political center of Tibet. The 13th Dalai Lama extended Potala Palace to the present size-117 meters in height and 360 meters in width, covering an area of more than 130,000 square meters. Mainly comprised by the White Palace, the administrative building, and the Red Palace, religious building, Potala Palace is famous for its grand buildings, complicated constructions, devotional atmosphere and splendid artworks.
Jokhang Temple:Jokhang Temple is the spiritual center of Tibet. Built in 647 by Songtsen Gampo, it has a history of more than 1,300 years. The temple is the fine product of Han, Tibetan and Nepalese architecture techniques. Visitors will be treated to the sight of various exotic and sacred sculptures. Jokhang Temple also houses many invaluable cultural relics. Every year, the Great Prayer Festival is held here. The temple was called the Tsulag Khang or 'House of Wisdom' but it is now known as the Jokhang which means the 'House of the Lord'.

Norbulingka:means Jewel Garden. First built in 1751, it borrowed architectural style from the inland areas of China while maintaining local ethnic and religious features. Norbulingka served as a traditional summer palace and residence starting with the 7th Dalai Lama, and now it is the largest garden in Tibet.
Drepung Monastery:Drepung Monastery was known for the high standards of its academic study, and was called the Nalanda of Tibet, a reference to the great Buddhist monastic university of India. Chapman reported that in the late 1930's Drepung was divided into four colleges, each housing monks from a different locality.

Samye Monastery :To get to the Samye Monastery from Lhasa, you'll have to take an early morning bus to the Samye Ferry (recommended) or Tsetang Bridge to get across the river. Most pilgrims and tourists hitchhike the 9 km (5.5 mi) from the crossing to the monastery. Despite this rather troublesome journey, most visitors to Samye are pleasantly surprised by this out-of-the way attraction. It is, after all, the oldest monastery in Tibet, built more than 1,200 years ago, and a symbol of Buddhism's triumph over Bön, the previous religion of the Tibetan plateau.
Yumbulagenthe: Yumbulagenthe earliest Tibetan imperial palace of ancient Tibetan kings.

Palkhor Monastery : is reputed as the lord of Tibetan stupas and famous for unique architecture, sculpture, and mural painting art. It is also named Palcho Monastery and very different from other monasteries.
Ramoche Monastery : is located in the northwest of Lhasa, covering a total area of 4000 square meters. The original complex was first built by Han Chinese architects in the middle of the 7th century (during the Tang Dynasty). Therefore the temple is a wonderful combination of Han and Tibetan architectural styles. Nowadays, Ramoche Monastery has become the very place for the Tibetan monks to study sutra.
Tibetan family visit: Enjoy a Tibetan family visit and share the tea with local friendly Tibetans.

Shalu Monastery :or Schalu Kloster located 20 km southeast of Shigatse, is a perfect combination of Han and Tibet architectural styles. The portrait of Bodhisattva in the Shalu Monastery is quite different from those of other temples. The artistic style is a combination of Chinese inland and exotic Tibetan culture.
Tashilhunpo Monastery: Founded by the First Dalai Lama in 1447, Tashilhunpo Monastery is one of the six big monasteries in Tibet. It is the seat of the Panchen Lama, the second ranking person in the Gelugpa Tibetan Buddhist hierarchy, after the Dalai Lama. The monastery houses the tombs of Panchen Lamas and a 22.4-meter statue of Maitreya Buddha. Tashilhunpo remains popular among the Tibetans, as they carry on coming here on pilgrimage.

Tibet Museum : Located at the southeast corner of Norbulingka, Lhasa, Tibet Museum is the first modern museum in Tibet. It covers an area of 53,959 square meters and has a floor space of 23,508 square meters including an exhibition area of 10,451 square meters. Tibet Museum demonstrates a magnificent traditional Tibetan architectural style. Also it reflects a salient feature of modern architectural art.
