Dali Ancient Town

Dali Ancient Town:Dali Ancient City was built in 1382, it was named Yeyu City, Forbidden City, Zhonghe Town.There are four city gates of the city in the north, west, east, and south with their own gate towers and turrets. The gate towers are named Tonghai, Cangshan, Cheng’en and Anyuan. The distribution of the city inside is of strict order and the whole ancient city looks like a chessboard (all the path of the ancient city are from the east to west or from north to south, houses of tile makes the city simple and unsophisticated)

Xizhou Bai Minority Village: Houses of Bai people in Xizhou are unique in design with three huts, and one screen wall, four sides, and five courtyards.
Three Pagodas: As one of the oldest and most magnificent architectures standing gracefully and forcefully in South China, it is a famous place of interest, a symbol of ancient history and culture of Yunnan Province. Built amid previous Chongsheng Temple by Nanzhao Kingdom, a local regime of Tang Dynasty (618-907), the three pagodas was named after the temple. Though the temple was damaged in Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), the three pagodas were reserved after numerous natural disasters and manmade incidents. The Three Pagodas of Chongsheng Temple was designated as an important heritage site protected under the state in 1961 and inscribed as AAAAA grade scenic area in 2011
Butterfly Spring: Covering 50 square meters, the Butterfly Spring of Dali is renowned for its superb scenic beauties, as well as the wonder with thousands of butterflies around in spring. As a square pool, Butterfly Spring is just like a pellucid gem that inlaid in the big shade of lavish greens. In spring, particularly during the Butterfly Festival on every lunar April 15th, all kinds of flourishing flowers are blooming, the silk tree aside the spring gives out quietly elegant fragrance and thousands of colorful butterflies of diverse species and in different sizes are playing around attract admirers from home and abroad.
