Chengdu Hotel Pickup
Meet up with the tour guide at a hotel in downtown Chengdu, take a private car and enjoy the natural scenery of the western Sichuan mountains along the way.
Explore Taoping Qiang Village
Arrive at Taoping Qiang Village, a unique fortress settlement built over 2,000 years ago. A local Qiang resident will lead you to wander the village’s winding alleyways. You can find secret hidden paths, listen to ancient folk tales, and learn about the clever defensive design of the famous stone watchtowers.
Local Lunch
Have lunch at a nearby local restaurant and taste authentic Sichuan local food. *Note: Lunch cost is not included in the tour price.
Drive to Ganbao Tibetan Village
Keep driving deeper into the mountain highlands towards Ganbao Tibetan Village.
Visit Ganbao Tibetan Fort
Ganbao Tibetan Village is one of the best preserved Jiarong Tibetan villages in western Sichuan. Strolling through the multi-layered stone houses built with local stones, observing the daily lives of villagers, and learning about Tibetan Buddhism and family traditions. The colorful prayer flags fluttering in the wind, the scenery of the mountains and fields, and the century old buildings create a rare peaceful atmosphere in modern cities.
Drive Back to Chengdu
Start the return trip through mountain roads back to Chengdu.
