Seasonal limited core check-in
Strolling through Prince Bay in spring, strolling in the sea of tulips; In summer, walk into the Quyuan Wind Lotus and enjoy the cool breeze lotus pond; Climbing the Lonely Mountain in autumn, enjoying the splendid scenery of golden autumn; In winter, admire the plum blossoms and stroll along the Su Causeway to feel the poetic tranquility.
Traditional Lake Boat Cruise
You can take an ancient painted boat to sail on the lake. We can go to the lake center to visit Three Ponds Mirroring the Moon (the scene on the 1-yuan note). You can also take a small rowing boat to Maojiabu or Turtle Pond, where the original wetland environment is well kept.
Overlook the Whole City from Leifeng Pagoda
If you want a bird’s-eye view of West Lake and Hangzhou city, we can climb Leifeng Pagoda. Inside the pagoda, you can see old relics of the inner ancient tower and listen to the romantic Legend of the White Snake. Standing on the top floor, you can get a full 360° view of Hangzhou city and the green lake water.
Visit Classical Hidden Gardens
We will visit Guozhuang Garden, the most beautiful classical private garden of West Lake. You can enjoy rockery and winding quiet corridors here. Another choice is Gushan Hill, the former imperial leisure island. We can explore the relics of Qing Dynasty palace and appreciate traditional Chinese calligraphy works here.
Final Walk Along Su Causeway
We end the trip by walking or riding an electric shuttle along Su Causeway. This 900-year-old dyke is a great ancient environmental project. The road is lined with willow trees and six stone bridges. Whether you wear casual clothes or Hanfu, you can fully feel the soul of West Lake here.
